Ideal Home Show, Dublin

Cul Art Showhouse

Almost 30,000 homeowners made their way to the RDS in Ballsbridge, Dublin over the October bank holiday weekend in search of inspiration and advice to tackle their home improvement projects. Undoubtedly a highlight of the show was the Cul Art Showhouse, designed by Architect & presenter of RTE’s Home Rescue, Roisin Murphy.

Bringing a fresh and modern Irish feel to the Ideal Home Showhouse, Roisin showcased the best in contemporary styling using native materials to add colour to the interiors. She sourced limestone from Carlow, jade tones of Connemara marble and a copper freestanding bathtub from Versatile Bathrooms + Tiles!

Bathroom design

For the bathroom space, Roisin incorporated a black steel screen as a functional room divider and stunning backdrop to the copper freestanding bathtub. A traditional style floor-mount bath filler from Victoria + Albert finished out the look, styled with a few orchids and Waterford crystal on a block of Kilkenny limestone.

Versatile is pleased to offer a range of copper bathtub models from Drummonds, including the Tyne bath – a classic roll top tub based on the 18th-century bateau bath design, which is made entirely from copper and available with a copper exterior & interior or an optional nickel interior.
